Refund and Returns Policy

At Solmique, we want you to love every order. If something isn't right, we're happy to help. This policy explains your right of withdrawal, how to return a product and how refunds are handled, in accordance with German and EU consumer protection law.

Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, take possession of the goods. If you order several items in one order and they are delivered separately, the withdrawal period begins on the day you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, take possession of the last item.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email. You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this policy, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notice of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, including standard delivery costs (except for any additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive your notice of withdrawal.

We will use the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not be charged any fees for this refund.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

You must send back the goods to us at the address above without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods if this loss results from handling them in a way that was not necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Exclusions From the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply, or expires early, for the following:

Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised to your needs, such as fabric, ribbon or other materials cut to a custom length, personalised craft kits or items made to order.

Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, if their seal has been removed after delivery. This includes sealed products intended for use on the skin, such as face paints and body paints.

Please only open the seal of these products if you intend to keep them. Unopened, sealed products can be returned as normal within the withdrawal period.

Checking Your Products

You are welcome to inspect your products as you would in a shop. Please note that supplies that have been used or worked on go beyond what is necessary to check them. This includes opened paints, inks or glues, air-dry clay or modelling compound that has been unwrapped and exposed to air, yarn that has been wound or knitted, fabric that has been cut, and canvases or papers that have been painted or drawn on. In these cases, we may deduct an appropriate amount for the loss in value from your refund.

How to Return an Item

Pack the items securely, ideally in their original packaging, with all parts, accessories, tools and instructions included. Please make sure liquids such as paints and glues are tightly closed and that sharp tools such as scissors, cutters or needles are safely packed so that no one handling the parcel can be injured.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping your proof of postage until your refund has been processed.

Please do not send returns without contacting us first, as this helps us process your return faster.

Exchanges

If you would like a different product, colour, size or kit, the easiest way is to return the original item following the steps above and place a new order for the item you want. If you have any questions, our team is happy to help you find the right materials for your project.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, leaking or incorrect, or if a kit is missing parts, please contact us at info@solmique.com as soon as possible with your order number and, where possible, photos of the product and the packaging. We will arrange a replacement, the missing parts or a refund, and we will cover the return shipping costs in these cases.

Statutory Warranty

You are entitled to the statutory warranty rights for defects (gesetzliche Mängelhaftung) under German law. For new goods, the warranty period is two years from delivery. Your statutory warranty rights are not limited by this policy or by your right of withdrawal.

Refund Processing

Once we have received and checked your return, we will confirm the refund by email. Refunds are made to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a few additional business days for the amount to appear in your account.
